President Dana White revealed the time to restart UFC

In an interview with ESPN, President Dana White confirmed that UFC will hold 3 events in May in Florida, USA. Previously, the UFC 249 event was canceled and will be reorganized on May 9.

To compensate for the many delays of UFC 249 due to the pandemic, President White will hold two more events on May 13 and May 16. As such, UFC will have 3 events taking place within 7 days.

Besides the epic match between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje at UFC 249, the match between Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira on May 13 was also noticed. Meanwhile, Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris will meet on May 16.

Previously, the UFC 249 event was scheduled for April 18 at Tachi Palace Resort in Lemoore, California. However, the UFC president must issue a cancellation notice, after intervention by Disney, ESPN and California officials. A few events were postponed including UFC Nebraska and UFC Oklahoma City.

After announcing the cancellation of the UFC 249 event and postponing other events, President White said he will take care of the fighters, and will not lay off any staff during the current difficult period.

Dana White has announced that the UFC 249 event will be postponed due to the Covid-19 epidemic on April 18, and will be resumed on September 9.5 and will not be postponed.
